1. Examine the Exhibit alongside critically. In the class backchannel:
A Gallery walk consist of Exhibits that should challenge the observer to think about what is shared in the exhibit. A good exhibit therefore should:
- What is the exhibit about?
- Describe how it makes you feel.
- Do you think that #feesmustfall?
- Reply to at least one other person in the discussion thread, opposing their opinion.

- Impart information and knowledge
- Solicit feelings (positive/negative)
- Stimulate good discussion
- Encourage critical thinking

ReplyDeleteThis is about the quest for FEES at universities to fall away
DeleteIt makes me angry as we worked hard to pay to go to university and they want things for free
#no
I dont really feel emotional about this
1. The exhibit is about the Fees Must Fall protests
ReplyDeleteFees must fall for tertiary education.
ReplyDeleteWhy is going to pay 4 it
DeleteThis is my answer to what the exibit is about. I do not think it should fall.
Delete2. Makes me feel inspired.
ReplyDeleteWhy inspired?
DeleteFees must fall,it makes me nervous to think what our country has come to.
ReplyDeleteNo I don't think fees must fall, because it will bring the level down of our education.
I disagree with Gwent. How are these institutions going to afford the employees
DeleteI don't agree, I am answering the first question
Delete3. Fees should fall to the extent that higher education is more accessible to those deserving of it.
ReplyDeleteLearners want the fees reduced or no fees at all.
ReplyDeleteYes true
DeleteDissapointed in the youth of today who just wants everything handed to them
ReplyDeleteAgreed!!
DeleteFree education
ReplyDelete4. I disagree with Sarah-Lee X.X
ReplyDeleteI do think fees should fall.
No
ReplyDeleteProtest on fees must fall for universities
ReplyDeleteFees must fall
ReplyDeleteFees must fall
ReplyDeleteUpset
ReplyDeleteThe government need to make an analysis and study the feasibility of the no fees at universities
ReplyDeleteFees can fall but not for free
ReplyDeleteStrue
DeleteMorgan I dont think that it should fall completely. Just a bit more reasonable.
ReplyDeleteEducation is a basic necessity and a right so they must get it for free
DeleteThen food should be free as well.
DeleteNo
ReplyDeleteYes fees should fall but not completely.
ReplyDeletefees must fall for tertiary education
ReplyDeleteWhat about the varsity lecturers? Would you work for a smaller salary?
DeleteFeel curious because I want know how possible..
ReplyDeleteYes they should fall but should be subsidised
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Mr Marufu
Deleteangry that buildings are being destroyed, people being injured
ReplyDeleteYes, government should at least subsidise a portion of the fees
ReplyDeleteIts annoying me.
ReplyDeleteNot really.
ReplyDeleteYes. Agree with Morgan. Cannot fall too much. People need to be paid for the lecturing etc
ReplyDeleteYes
ReplyDeleteeducation will never be free
ReplyDeleteour taxes pay for it indirectly
Varsity Fees
ReplyDeleteAngry
ReplyDeleteWho would pay our salaries if there were no school fees?
ReplyDeletePlease explain your comment @Doc. How are fees going to fall but not for free? If Govt can not support high schools etc how are they going to be able to support Varsities.Who is paying for it? We the hard working people who are paying for their own kids to go to university must now pay for your kid to go too????
ReplyDeleteJack is it possible to have free education especially when we are a developing country
ReplyDeleteIt's possible. It seemed impossible for basic education but know its the story of the past because basic education is free.
DeleteThis is affecting us badly in the long run. Our country cannot afford tertiary education being given for free!!
ReplyDeleteImagine the standards
DeleteA portion of taxes should be properly redirected to tertiary education in order to subsidize part of the costs... Our fees are way too high in South Africa!!!
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Jack. Free education at higher institutes will kill the country. People should want to do something and finish it rather waste resources not finishing anything because it for free. No pain no gain
ReplyDeleteWe having housing allowance, car allowance, and we pay them for travelling but they are working and they applied for the job knowing that they will have to travel. If we can stop all the unnecessary spending we can afford the fees must fall and the education department must change the 30% pass rate for matriculants so that we won't have high drop out rate at Varsities.
DeleteThe exhibit is about fees
ReplyDeleteSad
ReplyDeleteHistorical buildings and statues that are older than they are
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jessie, why destroy things? But it is a way of making people look and listen to them. I wish they could find a way without being distructive
ReplyDeleteI agree things must not be destroyed but rather peaceful and non violent demonstration.
DeleteThe gvt is stubborn. We must get Isis to help demonstrate.
DeleteWhen they do things peacefully they are dragged out of classes by mob police. They tried and it didn't work.
DeleteYes it has to fall the government must subsidies
ReplyDeletePeople liked free things. There is nothing for mahala.
ReplyDeleteBut this is a basic necessity and the government can afford to fund it. they must just stop with the 30% pass rates for matriculants, so that they can see who really wants to study and who will work hard for their education
Delete@unknown why are you angry
ReplyDelete@Morgz I totally agree with you.
ReplyDelete#Agitating for fall in fees
ReplyDelete##Very sad. Should we depend on the government for everything.
Fees must not fall. I vehemently disagree.
ReplyDeleteYes. we have high spender in the government departments and then the students have to struggle to obtain a diploma, most of those who have diplomas have huge debts. #FeesMustFall
ReplyDeleteIf the fees fall the education standard will deteriorate.
ReplyDeleteProtests
ReplyDeleteNo
@tekane what are you agreeing to. Who will pay the lecturers
ReplyDeleteI agree the government should help but not through violence
ReplyDeleteDoc is Nicholas @maggie
ReplyDeleteAsk that again
ReplyDeleteAt this point what difference does it make. Recently there were demonstrations from Graduates who have degrees and were unable to get jobs. Varsity although great to have a degree or diploma is not a necessity in life. I have a degree and studied through correspondence and had to work at the same time. It makes no difference how or where you study. If you want it badly enough you will work for it!
ReplyDelete@Sarah Lee falling so it's affordable but not for free
ReplyDeleteThis is affecting us badly in the long run. Our country cannot afford tertiary education being given for free!!
ReplyDeleteYes. Agree with Morgan. Cannot fall too much. People need to be paid for the lecturing etc
ReplyDeleteNo
ReplyDeleteFees must fall
