Badges

In this course we use badging as a fun and gamified way to measure if outcomes have been achieved. after every session you will be required to go and implement what you have learned during the session in your classroom. This will mean that you have to:

  1. Do some additional reading ( which you can find in each module's resource folder)
  2. Look at what you will be teaching in the weeks following on from the sessions and plan how you are going to use the relevant teaching strategy as well as mobile technology within the context of your subject lesson.
  3. Create a lesson plan explaining exactly how you will be doing the above (download lesson plan template here goo.gl/ot7Vic or create your own)
  4. Implement your lesson plan, making sure that you adhere to all the requirements as set out in the badge criteria. (e.g. take photos and videos, collect learners material)
  5. Upload your lesson plan and artifacts to your online teachers google folder. (Ask your tech integrator to help you if you don't know how to do that).
  6. Let the badge collector know that your badge is ready for assessment (ict4red@gmail.com). He/she will either schedule a Face to face session with you or do a skype chat every now and again to motivate you and award your badges. (ict4red@gmail.com)
  7. The badge collector will use the badging rubric to assess your badges (See rubric down below)
